Falcons Fly to Kazakhstan

The EAFL Falcons Men's team will travel to Almaty, Kazakhstan to play the Titans. This will be the second game between the two teams with the Titans having visited the UAE for a game in December 2012. The Falcons emerged victorious 28 - 0 in their previous meeting under Head Coach, Kai Trompeter.

The Falcons will arrive in Almaty on Thursday, short-handed as 7 members of their 25 player roster got held up due to visa issues.

The game will be held at Stadium CSKA at 7pm local time but will not be televised or webstreamed.

Head Coach - Kyle Jordan

"We’re excited about the opportunity to play the Titans in Kazakhstan.  They played a tough game against us in late 2012 and are now a lot more experienced through playing league and international games, so we expect a hard fought, close game from them.  We don’t have a lot of film to go off of, but from what we have seen, they’ve expanded their offensive playbook, are playing more aggressively and faster on defense, and have improved in every facet of the game.

"As far as our team goes, what we lack in terms of numbers will be made up for in talent and experience.  I’ve had my share of sleepless nights creating game plans to stop many of the players on our roster, so it’s a welcome change to be working with them on the same team.  We were able to get a glimpse of the caliber of football we can play in our win in Sri Lanka, and while a lack of practice time together makes mistake-free football an impossibility, the team is strong in the fundamentals – blocking, tackling, throwing, catching, running, etc.  We’ve got guys that can flat-out play and understand the game at a high level.  Whenever you’ve got those things, you’ve got a chance.  On top of that, it’s a great group of guys that we’re traveling with which will make for a memorable trip.  We look forward to our matchup with the Titans and to being able to see Kazakhstan."

"This is really going to be a great opportunity for the best that the UAE American Football community has to offer to face off against Kazakhstan. I am excited  to have the opportunity to be a part of it. It will be  interesting  to  pad up and get after it again."
