Official Healthcare Partner of the EAFL

We are very excited to welcome Emirates Integra back for another season of exciting action as the

Official Health Care Partner of the EAFL.

Sports Injuries and Concussions
Although uncommon, an injury or concussion can happen in any sport. They are more prevalent in contact sports.
Each EAFL team has a coach with First Aid and basic football injury training. They are also trained in concussion awareness, recognition, and treatment. If the coach or game day medic suspects that your son may have taken a big hit this season, he or she will remove the player from the game until he is declared ready-for-play by a medical professional. We have athlete’s health and safety in mind, above all else.
Dr. Bill Murrell and Dr. Janine Mckay from Emirates Integra are members of the EAFL Advisory Board as Health & Safety Advisors. They are available to treat any and all sports injuries. They have also brought the latest developments in concussion awareness, baseline testing, treatment and prevention techniques to the UAE and are making them available to the EAFL members.
Baseline testing is used by many schools and professional sports teams as a benchmark for determining if (and to what extent) the athlete has been injured. More importantly, it is used to determine when the athlete can safety return back to play.
We encourage you to learn more about baseline testing by speaking with Dr. Janine on game day.

Concussion Baseline Testing

Emirates Integra is our official medical sponsor and are offering special pricing for EAFL members.
The baseline test measures areas of brain function that could be impacted by a concussion. If an athlete sustains a concussion, we can compare their post-injury state to their baseline parameters.
Baseline testing allows our providers to:
  • Make an accurate diagnosis
  • Determine the affected brain area
  • Support full recovery of the brain
  • Make a safer return to sport recommendation
  • Minimize athletes’ risk of injury
  • Improve athletic performance
  • Reduce the incidence of concussion for the season
  • Create and implement complete concussion management for those who experience a concussion(s).
